Chariton County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), established in 2014, is dedicated to launching and managing county-wide projects that support new and existing businesses and promote tourism in our northcentral Missouri county.
CCEDC is funded annually by the Chariton County Commission and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors from various communities across the county.
We’re committed to enhancing our community’s workforce readiness and economic competitiveness. Chariton County participates in the ACT® Work Ready Communities program, which aligns workforce development with the needs of local employers.
Chariton County has also been designated by Missouri Farmers Care (MFC) as a place that supports agriculture. The designation is voluntary and encourages our county to work together with farmers and agricultural businesses to grow and develop their agricultural industries.
